The Savoy Ballroom | Springfield, MO Wedding Photography | Jeff & Nicole

It's Spring, and that means Springfield's Historic Commercial Street District is buzzing with brides and bridesmaids, grooms and groomsmen, and bustling wedding vendors, all preparing for many an excited couples' big day. C-street is one of my favorite spots in the Ozarks for it's mix of local history, renovated storefronts with flowery sidewalk displays, and restaurants that tantalize your senses.  There's a general  of commitment to the local community among the business owners and patrons. If you stand in the right place around sundown on a quiet evening, you can almost take yourself back to a time when Springfield found itself on the frontier lines, a town that acted as a bridge between the eastern settlements and the outlaws of the Old West. Sometimes, the wind will howl and the ground will tremor from the work at the dusty train yard less than a football field's distance away, and that era suddenly doesn't seem so long ago.

In the heart of Commercial Street, is where you will find the Savoy Ballroom, one of Springfield's premier wedding and event venues. The building the Savoy calls home adjoins to a lovely courtyard, adorned with flowering plants, green bushes, and lush grass underfoot. Stepping into the Savoy's courtyard feels like stepping into an oasis, a tiny hideaway among the old brick buildings and train tracks.

With so much beauty to offer, it's no wonder why Jeff & Nicole chose this amazing venue to celebrate their love with friends and family!

We are so honored they chose Kent & Carolyn Photography to document this important day for them. It was a day filled with laughter, tears of joy, family & surprise guests that were brave enough to travel so shortly after the terrible flooding in Central Missouri, and of course, LOVE.

We hope you enjoy some highlights from Jeff & Nicole's beautiful wedding day! Please leave the happy couple some words of congratulations in the comments at the end of this page.
