First Touch: The "Anti-First Look" | Springfield, Missouri Wedding Photography
Sometimes, having a quiet moment during the hustle and bustle of your wedding day is exactly what you need to ease your nerves before you stand in front of every person you've ever met and pledge your love to one another. Sometimes, you need just a quick second to reconnect and remember why you planned this whole big event in the first place so the day doesn't overwhelm you both.
But what if you vowed not to see each other before the walk down the aisle?
What if you don't want to ruin the thrill of seeing each other "dressed to the nines" as your processional plays? What if it really is bad luck???
That's when a great alternative to a first look might be the right choice.
Some other great alternatives to a first look before your wedding you might consider:
Love letter or wedding gift - write a love letter that each of you will open and read aloud or purchase a special gift to unwrap from either side of a door or wall. Connect without connecting.
Blind-folded first touch - Don't have a great place for a first touch where you won't accidentally see each other? Use blind folds. No peeking!
First prayer - Have a moment to connect with your faith. Hold hands and say a prayer for the blessings in your life.
First look with parents - Bride & groom first looks aren't the only ones that are memorable. Make sure you capture the look on Dad's face when he sees you in your dress for the first time!
